Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Unsalted butter
1 Cup Whipping cream
Salt and WHITE pepper
To taste
1/4 Cup Freshly grated Parmesan
Cheese
 
Prepare:
Melt butter in a large skillet. When butter foams, add cream. Simmer over medium heat about 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and white pepper When your fettuccine has been cooked, drain noodles and place in the skillet with the cream. Add 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Toss noodles and sauce over medium heat until sauce coats noodles, 20 to 30 seconds. Serve immediately with additional Parmesan cheese.

you are forgeting some basic ingredients Flour to thicken and a hint of garlic

Stephie just wanted to let you know you do not need flour to thicken this. It takes about 10 minutes not s minutes for it to thincken up. Just thought I'd let you know!!!

Easier if you use cream soup base, prepare as directed on bag, add 2 cups granulated parmesan, 10 slices processed swiss, 2 cups white wine reduced to one cup. let stand 10 minutes. Add 2 ounces cracked black pepper and one quart heavy whipping cream.
